I agree that this is one of the most important ways to prevent bad behavior. Whenever a puppy gets into something, the first question is always: "Why weren't you watching your puppy?" Our big boy still pulls on the walks after we had him for 3 years (he was 2.5 yrs when we got him & never walked b/f). We tried everything: different collars, leashes, backpacks...
