I ended up calling animal control because I just couldn't deal anymore and I'm an old woman - they left a notice... Our city has strict noise ordinances. I felt badly calling animal control, but I've had bad experiences with jerky dog owning neighbors and decided it was easier this way since I didn't know them at all and didn't want to be like "HI I LIVE UPSTAIRS AND YOUR DOG IS DRIVING ME NUTS!" They came over today and introduced themselves, apologized and gave us their cell phone numbers in case it happened again - they had no idea it was happening. I'm fairly certain that's what Arwen use to do when we weren't home. At 10 now though she's better and controlling her seperation anxiety. THANKFULLY we've got to the point, where he doesn't do this the ENTIRE time I'm gone...but just the first..hour or so. heh. Good thing I don't have close neighbors. I would just hate to think Maggie is this upset when we are no around. Maggie by the way looks like a redhead version of your beautiful lab.
