haha Erin, I had the same problem when I was in college - didn't weigh enough to donate - you are amazing for trying to get around it! I've had my vision go black 3 different times today because I stood up too quickly, and I weigh more than enough now! It really does get you.. Saxon looks at me weird as I crouch on the ground until I don't feel so light-headed. And Ivanhoe, I was worried about iron too, but I had a hamburger the night before last and figured I'd be fine.

I've had blood drawn from me twice. Once it was blood work to figure out what was wrong with my stomach. It was the most painful thing I have ever experieneced. It felt like they were sucking my life force from me. The second time was completely voluntary. I decided that since I have good blood that I should get over my fear. This involved me having to lie about my weight. I shouldn't have done it. They had to stop before the bag was full because my blood wasn't flowing and because I was looking paler and paler. Haha! They forced me have like one of everything at their snack station. I've come to realise that I'm just not meant to give blood.
