This morning Saxon and I headed north along the coast just a few miles to help with turkey preparations for Thursday night... only, these weren't the brined, basted, roasted kind of turkeys... These are the Oreo cookie kind of turkeys from this site.

We had so much fun making a huge mess with these little turkeys that I'm already looking for the Christmas equivalent. Saxon had a blast visiting with resident girl dog, Scruffy (resident boy dog Riley has retired to a life of leisure and doesn't involve himself much with the puppy).

Scruffy and Saxon have a wonderful relationship going - she LOVES to stand and bark while he runs and runs and runs in the backyard.

After a few minutes they settle nicely together.

Days like this are so wonderful and relaxing to spend time creating something so adorable. Saxon has been asleep since just after dinner, proof he had a great day too.
