| an unrelated picture of four month old male yellow lab guide dog puppy "Rio" from last April when I was in Salt Lake City, just because he's cute! |
Late last week, Pulitzer prize winning author Mary Oliver posted a link on her facebook page to one of her Percy poems, number ten in the series of thirteen (I think) - as a wonderful representation of the spirit of Thanksgiving.
I Ask Percy How I Should Live My Life
Love, love, love says Percy
And hurry as fast as you can
along the shining beach, or the rubble, or the dust.
Then, go to sleep.
Give up your body heat, your beating heart.
Then, trust.
If you have a moment and you've ever had a dog like Percy, take a moment to read all of them - you will be happy you did. And while you're at it, read the rest of her poems too. Look on youtube for her readings... obviously she is one of my favorites!
So here are a bunch of links: Percy poems one and two, three, four and five (those ones are a bit sad), six and seven, eight, nine, ten is above :), eleven, twelve, and Percy (2002-2009) . Enjoy.

They're all so lovely :) Thanks for sharing.
